Hiya, Todd! Welcome to planDisney.
How pumped are you to be staying at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge?! I mean, where else can you see Giraffes and Zebra roaming around a savannah right outside your hotel room window? It really is such a fabulous hotel, and it’s such a cool experience to stay there. So, I’m just so excited for you!
Now, to answer your question, Todd, a valid theme park ticket is required to enter
Disney’s Animal Kingdom park regardless of the resort you are staying at. So, even though you are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is just a short bus ride away, you will still need to make sure you have a ticket to enjoy your day in the park. You’ll also need to secure your
Theme Park Reservation for Disney’s Animal Kingdom ahead of your visit. As a reminder, a reservation is required for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you have added the
Park Hopper Option to your ticket, you can hop over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. Some dates get booked up, so I recommend securing your Theme Park Reservations as early as possible to ensure you can enjoy all the parks you were hoping to visit.
If you get a chance to head over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom during your upcoming vacation, I highly recommend stopping over at
Harambe Fruit Market to grab the delicious Grilled Corn on the Cob, sprinkled with yummy African spices. It’s one of my absolute favorite snacks in all of Walt Disney World! While you’re there, be sure to also stop by Mr. Kamal’s for the seasoned fries with dipping sauce. Oh my goodness, they are SO good! You won’t regret it.
I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! If you have any other questions as you wrap up the planning of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please stop back over to planDisney! We would love to help you make the absolute most of your vacation!
Bye for now,
Diana
