Hey there, Mercedes, and welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge should really qualify as its own attraction. Experiences are abundant in this tucked-away African oasis. It definitely feels like Disney's most immersive option among the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and will be a resting spot for me and my family for years to come.
First and foremost, nobody chooses this resort if they don't want to experience the main magic: animals! Giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and so many more fabulous friends roam the savannas of this resort. There are viewing stations both indoors and outdoors for your party to sit and enjoy the activity. There are also specialists on site to teach you all about the animals and their care. And for a little extra razzle dazzle, you could even book an Advanced Dining Reservation for a meal at
Sanaa. Located at the Kidani Village part of the resort, this restaurant offers stunning views of the savannah along with a stellar meal. Don't forget to order the legendary bread service!
Speaking of dining, it's officially time for my
Jiko - The Cooking Place advertisement. If there are no fans of this restaurant left on earth, just know that the circle of life has claimed me. This is, in my humble opinion, one of the best signature dining locations in all of Walt Disney World. Boasting the largest selection of African wines outside of the continent herself, and a
top-notch menu inspired by the earthy and fragrant flavors found there, you'll want to come back again and again.
Pro-tip: There's no shortage of
recreation at this resort. But If you really want to add a little extra magic to your stay, consider booking a
Starlight Safari. For $89 per person(prices are subject to change), grab your crew and use the provided night vision device to check out the wildlife from aboard a safari vehicle.
Mercedes, walking on the wild side is always a breeze at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat! Happy planning!
