Staying at Animal Kingdom for two before our cruise on the Disney Treasure. My question is we paid for transportation to Port Carnival with Disney. Can they pick us up at the resort instead of going to airport to catch the ride?

    Ahoy there, Maria!

Welcome aboard planDisney! You’ve charted a truly unforgettable adventure—kicking things off with a wild escape at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before boarding the magnificent Disney Treasure sounds like the perfect blend of safari sunsets and high-seas magic. Your crew is in for memories worthy of their own storybook.

Here’s the great news: Disney can absolutely pick you up right at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Villas for your ground transfer to Port Canaveral. No need to make the trek back to the airport just to turn around and head to the port. Your Disney motor coach will scoop you up at the resort and whisk you away—though just like a bus making its way through Zootopia, you may make a few stops at other Walt Disney World Resort hotels before the highway to the high seas.

Since you’ve already purchased transportation, even more good news: the cost is the same whether you’re picked up from a resort or the airport. The current price is still $90 per person round-trip, so your budget stays exactly where it is—leaving plenty of room for a few extra souvenirs at Johari Treasures or the gift shops onboard the Treasure.

To finalize your pickup location, you’ll just want to give Disney Cruise Line a call. As long as there’s availability, a Cast Member will happily update your reservation so you’re set to board your motor coach right from the resort. A few days before sailing, you’ll also receive an email with your exact pickup time and instructions so you know precisely when to be ready—think of it as your own “Be Prepared” moment, but with much better vibes than Scar ever gave us.

And speaking of the Treasure, my crew and I sailed on her earlier this year, and we’re already itching to go back. From the jaw-dropping design details to the amazing dining spaces, every corner feels like Disney magic brought to life. We’re especially excited to play the new Haunted Mansion Happy Hunt game on our next sailing—nothing like a little ghostly hide-and-seek to keep you entertained between all the fun. Just remember: you will need a DisneyBand+ (or MagicBand+) to play.

I hope this helps you get everything shipshape for your big adventure. Before long, you’ll trade savanna views for sea breezes, step aboard the Treasure, and feel that perfect moment when real life quiets and the magic takes over.

Sea ya real soon as the tides turn toward thankful hearts and joyful journeys,
    Dustin
