We are staying at animal kingdom with a 22 month old & a 5 month old. We plan on probably going to magic kingdom & animal kingdom this Friday & Saturday. Which day is better for which park? Also what are fun things to do with young toddler?

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You are going to have SO much fun this weekend with your little ones at the Walt Disney World Resort! You have chosen to visit the top two theme parks that I recommend for families that are visiting with young kids. Both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom have a lot of activities that capture the attention of the youngest of Guests, especially the entertainment options at Disney's Animal Kingdom and the amount of rides without height requirements at Magic Kingdom Park. Make sure you take the time to walk through the Exploration Trails in Disney's Animal Kingdom with your toddler ... my kids always loved seeing the animals at that age!

When I checked the Park Hours for Magic Kingdom Park on Friday, December 20, 2019, I found that it closes at 6:00 PM this Friday to get ready for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to take place from 7:00 PM-12:00 AM (midnight). This means a couple of things for you. Fridays are typically less crowded at Magic Kingdom Park than on Saturday, so it would be a good choice to visit there on Friday if you don't mind having to leave at 6:00 PM. Since you have to purchase a separate ticket for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you will have less time in Magic Kingdom Park, but with little ones and less crowds, it still may be the best choice for you to visit Friday.

Saturday will also be a little more crowded in Disney's Animal Kingdom, but after looking over a few crowd prediction calendars, it probably won't be too different crowd-wise on Friday and Saturday. This is a busy time of year for "The Most Magical Place on Earth," so I think your main consideration will be if you want the longer hours on Saturday for Magic Kingdom Park.

I hope this helps with your planning, Elizabeth! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
