We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in 2 weeks. Is the process for requesting a wheelchair accessible Minnie Van different than a regular one? Thanks!

Happy Holidays and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christina!

After having used the MINNIE VAN™Service daily on my most recent vacation, I can honestly say that it was convenient, saved me a lot of time and it was lots of fun! The Lyft app that is currently in use for this service (subject to change) has yet to show an option for ordering an accessible MINNIE VAN™so I recommend you contact the service for special assistance at (407) 828-3500.

My experience for ordering the service, was that I had to wait outside the main lobby of a select Disney Resort hotel, at the Marketplace and West Side Pick-Up areas at Disney Springs, or near the Disney Resort hotel Bus Stop area at the Theme Parks. Check out an earlier Disney Parks Blog post about this fun service!

Christina, you’re going to love this whimsical way of navigating Walt Disney World Resort in the fun and comfy vans, which also include mobile device chargers of every kind and a friendly Cast Member driver willing to share many fun facts about Disney-related topics!

We hope you enjoy your stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and magical benefits as our Resort hotel Guest during our Holiday Festivities! As well, you may wish to refer to Disney’s Services for Guests with Disabilities in preparation for your visit.

Happy Disney Holidays and MINNIE VAN™rides!
