We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. How much time should we budget for to get to Magic Kingdom? How long to Downtown Disney?

    Hi Roger:

If you are relying on Disney transportation, Disney buses are scheduled to run on average every 20 minutes from all Disney resorts. We've found that buses from the Animal Kingdom Lodge run even more frequently and have rarely had to wait a full 20 minutes for the bus. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is situated further away from the Magic Kingdom than many other Disney resorts. Not counting the walk from my room to the bus station, I budget 45 minutes, including waiting time and travel time, to get from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, and I usually arrive ahead of schedule. If you are driving your own car, I would shave 15 minutes off your budget. If taking a bus to Downtown Disney, I would budget 35 minutes, though you'll probably arrive before then. If driving, it should take you about 15-18 minutes.

    Enjoy your vacation.
