We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge soon. If we wanted to drive (rental car) to another resort, do we need to pay for parking at each resort? I would like to take the water taxi from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom one day.

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Taya!

It's so exciting that you're leaving for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation tomorrow! Now is the perfect time to start thinking about some of those last-minute details like transportation and parking, so I'm happy to walk you through some of the options that you will have when you're on vacation this week.

Parking at Resort Hotels is typically reserved for guests who are staying there and guests who have advanced dining reservations at one of the dining locations inside, so on your Magic Kingdom Park day, it will likely not be possible to park at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and take the water transportation to get to the Theme Park. Guests with dining reservations are allowed three hours of complimentary parking at Resort Hotels to enjoy their meals, so that's always an option if you want to explore and grab a bite to eat, but if you want to visit Magic Kingdom Park for the day you will need to park your car at the Transportation and Ticket Center. The great news is that you can catch water transportation directly from there! Ferry boat service runs constantly to bring guests to the entrance gate and back again and it's a really lovely ride across Seven Seas Lagoon so I highly recommend it if you're looking forward to a water journey. Walt Disney World Resort transportation is complimentary for all guests, so if you want to take a round-trip on the water taxi from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Wilderness Lodge and back again, you should go for it! Checking out Resort Hotels is always one of my favorite things to do when I'm on vacation.

    Have a magical day, Taya!
