We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Does the resort provide life vests for the children? or do we need to pack and bring our own?

Hello Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with children is a vacation sure to be filled with Endless Magic.

When my family stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village last year, my daughter was caught between her love of water slides and not being the strongest swimmer. This would have made us nervous as only 1 person can go down the water slide at a time. However, all Walt Disney World Resort Pool Areas have complimentary life jackets available for guest use.

If you plan on visiting the 2 Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks: Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, they also have life jackets for children.

While at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, be sure to get your children involved in the wonderful bead-collecting activities, free for all Guests of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are wonderful opportunities to have your kids learn from Cast Members on various aspects of African Culture, Animal Care and Conservation.

If you are looking for a romantic, adults-only experience, I recommend signing the kids up for a night at Simba's Cubhouse, the onsite Children's Activity Center, while you book Advanced Dining Reservations for Jiko - The Cooking Place for a signature dining and wine tasting experience like no other.

    Have a Wild Adventure!
