Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and plan to visit Epcot. We'd like to enter at the International Gateway entrance and don't love the buses. Can we park at Hollywood Studios so we can take the Skyliner to Epcot without a reservations at DHS?

    Hi Erin!

Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!

You have chosen an amazing Disney Resorts Hotel to stay at during your visit! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a family favorite of mine and is one of the most unique resorts you can stay at. Where else can you overlook a savanna of your favorite animals while you sip a morning cup of coffee?

If you wish to enter EPCOT through the International Gateway entrance, you'll need to get a bit creative in how you plan to get there. Parking at EPCOT or taking the bus will only land you at the front entrance of the park. Your plan of parking at Disney's Hollywood Studios and then taking the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT is a great idea. You are certainly allowed to do so and many Guests use this same strategy when park hopping.

In addition to the Disney Skyliner, there is a walking path from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's Boardwalk. If for some reason you do not want to take the Skyliner, you can take a leisurely walk to this area and access the International Gateway from here. The walk takes about 15 to 25 minutes, but this will depend on how quickly you are moving. There are also Friendship Boats that travel between the two parks. There are a few stops at the resorts and hotels along the way, but this is another mode of transportation that you can take to get to your destination.

I always love entering EPCOT through the International Gateway entrance. It puts you directly into the action of the World Showcase and allows you a head start to begin trying some amazing cuisines from all over the world. If you are planning on riding Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, you are only steps away from the France Pavilion upon entry to get to this attraction.

Erin, I hope you have a magical time during your trip next month!

    See ya real soon!
