We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. How long will it take (via bus/shuttle) to go to Animal Kingdom? We have three children under 6 and are worried about the travel time from this resort.

Hi Tammy! Thanks for bringing this inquiry to the Disney World Moms Panel. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) consists of two sister resorts, Jambo House and Kidani Village. My family and I have stayed at Jambo House while relying on Disney's transportation system. We found the average transportation time between Jambo House and Disney's Animal Kingdom to be about 12 minutes. Please be advised that all theme park buses will stop at Kidani Village first and Jambo House last. The Downtown Disney bus reverses the route stopping at Jambo House first and Kidani Village last. There is really no need to be concerned about transportation times between AKL and Disney's Animal Kingdom. In fact, we found transportation times between AKL and all other Disney theme parks to be reasonable. Disney's transportation system is an easy and convenient way to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. Your family will thoroughly enjoy staying at the amazingly themed AKL. Have a wonderful and memorable vacation!
