We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in June and have the Park Hopper Water Park and more tickets. I have 2 children 8 & 12. Is it worth to do Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise, or have we packed enough options into our week?

    Ahoy Christine,

I pack in as much as I can when I'm at WDW. I love the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage & believe its totally worth the money.

You meet at the Contemporary Resort ~ 1 hr & 15 min prior to the time the fireworks are scheduled that evening. You receive a special P&P bandanna & enjoy some grab & go snacks that may include brownies, cookies, chips, popcorn, granola bars & fruit. Drinks include sodas, coffee, hot chocolate & water.

Cpt Hook & Mr. Smee arrive & you get a chance to meet & have pictures taken w/ them. Your pirate host Patch joins you & leads you out onto the docks. You'll be given one last chance for a potty break b/f you set sail. Hook & Smee will escort you to your ship but do not sail w/ you. Typically, you're out on the boat 55 - 60 min.

As you sail to the Seven Seas Lagoon, Patch entertains you w/ Disney trivia, songs & pirate jokes. He'll also be sure to recognize anyone celebrating a BD, anniversary or other special occasion. The Electrical Water Pageant is held on select evenings & depending on when you sail, you may get a very upclose look at it.

The view of the fireworks is incredible over Cinderella Castle & reflecting over the water. You can hear the soundtrack w/o the loud booms & crowds. Afterwards, Patch goes back into action w/ more songs & trivia & you can score some cool prizes. A special Guest awaits you when you arrive back at the dock. Check out this video.

P&P usually sails Friday - Monday year round although there are some times that it sails 7 nights a week. I HIGHLY recommend this experience for the whole family. To book a reservation call 407-WDW-PLAY. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
