I will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House). Do we have to make reservations to eat breakfast at Boma but The Mara is just turn up? Also, if we decide to eat cereal in the room is there a place to buy bowls and spoons?

    Jambo Michael!

Animal Kingdom Villas is my family's home resort for Disney Vacation Club, and we love it there! Whenever I walk into the Jambo House lobby at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I get a huge grin on my face. It's a magnificent lobby!

Reservations are strongly recommended for Boma - Flavors of Africa. You can walk-up and inquire about availability. Boma is the best breakfast buffet I have had at Walt Disney World Resort. So come very hungry! I usually can skip lunch, too, because there is so much delicious food. An elastic-waisted skirt is my go-to outfit for Boma.

The Mara is a quick-service dining location, so no reservations are needed. You can find things like steel-cut oatmeal, waffles, croissant sandwiches, and more unique items like chakalaka and pap. In the Mara, there are utensils and condiments you can use.

Sometimes my family and I will eat a quick breakfast in the room like cereal or granola bars. I will usually buy a package of paper bowls and plastic spoons at home and throw them in my suitcase. Then I'll buy cereal and milk at the resort and keep it in the room.

If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon. I hope you have a wild time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!
