Hi! We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House in May 2026 in a Vaule DVC room. I just read that construction will start on DVC rooms at Jambo during the same time period. Would the move us if our room become unavailable?

Welcome Home, Jill - and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy to hear that you have another dreamy Disney Vacation Club adventure on the horizon, and it's my pleasure to lend some Member-to-Member assistance to set your mind at ease. Let's get right to it!

The Deluxe-level accommodations that we enjoy as DVC Members are something that I really appreciate. All of the resorts are on a carefully-planned schedule for renovations and refurbishments to make sure that they're in tip-top shape for years to come! As you noticed, the guest rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House are currently scheduled to undergo refurbishment beginning in May.

Don't fret, Jill! When this type of work is happening, it's typically done in sections so that Guests can still enjoy a stay at the resort. We've been at several resorts over the years when construction is happening, and the impact is usually pretty minimal - work happens during daytime hours, and it really shouldn't affect your vacation at all.

If for some reason your reservation is impacted, Member Services will contact you before arrival to discuss options (often a different room at the same resort, or a comparable room at a different resort). If you're concerned about being moved or construction noise, you can absolutely reach out to Member Services before your arrival for the most up-to-date information.

I hope this sets your mind at ease a bit. I'm sure you are going to have an amazing vacation - the Animal Kingdom resorts are among our favorites! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney again, Jill, and please come see us anytime if we can help with additional questions.

    Stay Magical!
