Hi Denise and welcome to planDisney!
The
Enchanting Extras Collection at Walt Disney World offers so many fun and exciting things to do beyond a traditional theme park visit. I am slowly making my way down the list of experiences and the Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is at the top of my list to try next. I really enjoyed the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure on Segways at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground,
Caring for Giants at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour at
Magic Kingdom Park.
The
Starlight Safari typically opens for bookings 60 days in advance and since there are only two safaris per nights, it books up really fast. I see that you'll be visiting during Christmas week, which is the busiest time of year at Walt Disney World. Booking for the Starlight Safari can be done online or over the phone by
calling Walt Disney World tours. When booking online, you can only choose up to 10 Guests at a time, so I think calling would be best since your group is so large. I do see that there currently isn't availability for 13 Guests for your arrival date, but I suggest you keep checking as Guests are always changing their plans and availability fluctuates daily.
If you are planning on an Animal Kingdom Theme Park day, take a look at Caring for Giants or
Up Close with Rhinos. These tours have many time slots each day, so they could be easier to book than the safari. These two tours require theme park admission as they are inside of the park.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
