We're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and want to have groceries from Garden Grocery delivered to the Lodge. In the past the staff would hold our groceries in storage or deliver them to our room. Do they still do that?

    Jambo, Jack!

Welcome back to planDisney.  Is there anything cooler than having a fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal during your Walt Disney World vacation?  It's one of my favorite parts of Disney Vacation Club Membership!  Whether you're preparing a pre-rope-drop breakfast, stocking the fridge with late-night snacks, or preparing an entire Thanksgiving dinner (yep, I've done it!), the kitchen truly makes staying in a Deluxe Villa feel like home.

Let's face it, though –– a kitchen is really no use without food! That's why I'm happy to report that the Bell Services staff at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge will gladly accept grocery deliveries, including refrigerated items, on behalf of Resort Guests.  You can place an order with any grocery delivery service of your choosing, but there are a few things you should be aware of to make sure your delivery runs smoothly.  First, you'll want to verify that you have the correct address for your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and that the delivery is addressed to "Guest (your name as it appears on the reservation)". You'll also want to be sure that your order doesn't contain any age-restricted items, like alcohol.  While you're welcome to have these items delivered to your Resort, you must be present with your photo ID for delivery –– Bell Services won't accept these items for you.  After you receive notification that your order has arrived, you can stop by the Bell Services desk to collect your items or have them delivered directly to your room for an additional fee.  If you ask me, it doesn't get much more convenient than that!

During your stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you'll have the perfect opportunity to dine at my favorite Walt Disney World Resort buffet –– Boma - Flavors of Africa.  What I love most about this restaurant is that it offers a taste of something for everyone.  While adventurous eaters can enjoy traditional African-inspired dishes, you'll also find plenty of familiar foods to please Guests with a more timid palate.  And my favorite part of the meal? Dessert, of course!  Boma's famous Zebra Domes and a cup of Joffrey's Kenyan coffee make the perfect finale for this fantastic dining experience!  Advance dining reservations are highly recommended for Boma, so be sure to check for availability before your visit.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Jack.  I'm wishing you a wild time from start to finish during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
