    Hi, we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge this coming August. Can I take and use a travel kettle as my son suffers from Crohns disease and needs a special formula making every day with cooled boiled water. Also can I get Almond milk in AKL for him? thanks

    Hi Carolyn!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Ensuring that everyone in their family will be suitably looked after during their Endlessly Magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the goal of every Disney Mom.  It is my pleasure to assist you in this pursuit!

    You'll be pleased to hear that electric travel kettles are allowed in-room during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, as long as they are electric kettles that plug into a wall outlet. 

    If you prefer to travel without the kettle, there are a few options that might interest you.  While kettles are not provided, each room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge comes with a coffee maker that uses pods for each brew.  By not adding a pod, the coffee maker will dispense hot water.

    Additionally, in-room microwaves are available upon request in your Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge room.  By listing it as a request under Special Accommodations, one will provided to you for the length of your stay.

    If you find yourself in 1 of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks and require cooled boiled water, the Baby Care Centers have kitchens that have a microwave, sink and other amenities to assist you in the preparation of special formulas.

    After checking with Animal Kingdom Lodge, I was informed that Almond Milk is currently in stock at both Zawadi Traders at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Johari Treasures at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village.  However, it was stressed that it is not always in stock and there can be no guarantee that it will be in stock during your visit in August.

    Private dining does not stock Almond milk.
