We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge - where is best to have breakfast? Don't mind if it is in the hotel or in the parks - we are using all our table service credits on evening meals and have 2 snack credits or 1 counter service to use

    Hi Claire,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question about your upcoming stay at my favourite Walt Disney World Resort hotel, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

I would highly recommend using your Disney Dining Plan snack entitlements for your breakfasts during your stay. The best place to redeem them would be at The Mara. There, you’ll find several breakfast items that count as snacks, including individual pieces of fruit, some pastries and even individual servings of cereal. Plus, you can use your refillable mug to get coffee or tea to jump start your Disney Day. I find that the best breakfast “snack” options are found at Resort dining locations, so I wouldn’t recommend heading into the Disney Parks if you plan to use snack entitlements for that meal.

Finally, I usually find that it’s best to use counter service entitlements  for lunch in order to maximize the value that you’ll get from your Disney Dining Plan, unless you’d really prefer to have more to eat at breakfast. Lunch options are typically more expensive than those found at breakfast, so your entitlements will go further if you plan your meals that way.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
