Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in August and wondered if it is ok to use the beach at Wilderness Lodge ?

Hi Steven! I am sure you are counting down the days until your August Walt Disney World vacation! It will be here before you know it so if there is anything we can help you with for your planning please let us know.

The Disney resorts have a strict policy about not allowing pool hopping. This means that only registered guests of a resort are allowed to use the pools of that specific resort. The beaches are a bit more lax as they are open and anyone can enjoy the white sands. This of course could change at any time but right now all guests can enjoy the beach areas if they choose to.

Wilderness Lodge resort is at this time going through major refurbishment. The beach area is closed and construction is taking place where it was open. You will not be able to enjoy this area during your stay but you might head over to the Yacht and Beach Club resorts or the Polynesian resort to find a small area of beach to enjoy. Hope you can find a place to bury your toes for a little bit during your stay!
