we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge April 1-8. My question is can we use the other resorts? i.e. can we go swimming at the Grand Floridian? Or can you only use the pools at your own resort? Also, how close is Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom? thanks

Hi Mark! The pools at Disney Resort hotels are for guests staying at that Disney Resort hotel. The only exception to this are for guests staying at Disney's All Star Resorts that are allowed to use any of the Disney's All Star Resorts' pools, for guests staying at either Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter that are allowed to use either pool, and for Disney Vacation Club members staying at Disney Vacation Club Resort hotels that are allowed to use other Disney Vacation Club Resorts' pools as permitted.

You can visit other Disney Resort hotels for entertainment, shopping and dining.

Disney's Grand Floridian is very close to Magic Kingdom and is easily reached by ferry or monorail. Unfortunately, guests are not allowed to walk to or from the Resort hotel and the Park.

    Hope this helps.
