Hey there, Reade. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful resort. I've had the pleasure of staying there several times and it is always a beautiful experience. There are many great places to dine while you stay there but, at this time, no luau. What I think you may be referring to is
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show which can be found at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - another great place to stay. It's a fun all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner show that showcases hula dancing, fire dancing and more Polynesian inspired fun. If this dinner show interests you, I suggest making advanced dining reservations for it because it always fills up.
There are plenty of fun things to enjoy at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I mean the over 30 species of wildlife roaming around is practically a dinner show in itself! If you're wanting more of an experience than a traditional sit down meal, I suggest looking into the
Dine with an Animal Specialist meal that is offered. During this four course lunch you'll get to learn more in depth about the animals right outside of your window from the person who takes care of them and about the role Disney is playing in conservation around the world.
The Wanyama Safari is another meal that is similar to a dinner show. Guests are taken out on a 90 minute game drive to the savannah for a more in depth look at the animals who call it home. After the adventure, Guests are then treated to an African inspired multi-course meal with wine pairings.
Oh it all sounds amazing! I hope this gives you some ideas for your next Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.
