We are staying at Animal Kingdom in June. What all should we do there? Any special events we need to look out for?

    Hi Christy!

You will love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! We are staying there in just a few short months and I'm so excited! There is so much to do at this resort!

The food at this resort is wonderful. Make sure to try Jiko - The Cooking Place, which is one of the best restaurants throughout all of Walt Disney World. They are opened for dinner and their menu is seasonal. Their food is a blend of African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. Boma is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet style restaurant with delicious foods from African countries. Saana is also wonderful and is a must try.

Make sure to go on the Safari while you are there. There is a special Starlight Safari you can go on at night and can see the animals in their habitat at night!

You can also go on the Wanyama Safari, which is only available to guests staying at the Animal Kingdom Resort. You can enjoy a pre-safari reception at Jiko - The Cooking Place and then enjoy a 90-minute tour of the safari.

Of course you can also simply enjoy gazing at the animals from the wonderful viewing locations throughout the resort from premium spots!

    Magically,
    Stacy
