We're staying at the AllStarMovies next moth.My youngest has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome&I intend to ask for the DAS for in the park, does this assistance apply to transportation? She finds long periods of standing/sitting painful&I'm worried about long Q

    Hello, Ruth!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel. One thing that keeps my family coming back to the Walt Disney World Resort is that the resort strives to make it as accessible as possible for Guests with limited mobility issues. Our son struggles to walk long distances and is unable to stand for long periods, so he tours the resort using a push-stroller. This allows him to reserve his energy so he can enjoy his theme park visits. I suggest bringing a stroller/wheelchair or renting a wheelchair during your vacation.

At this time, the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card is designed to provide Guests accommodations within a theme park. You can request a DAS Card for your daughter so that she has a reduced wait time in a location where she can sit in the shade, stretch her legs or have a snack. Since our son uses a stroller as a wheelchair, I visit a theme park Guest Relations to secure a tag for the stroller that identifies it as a wheelchair. Not only does this tag allow him to remain in his stroller in queues, it also allows him to do so using the Complementary Resort Transportation system. When using the monorail, buses or boats, Cast Members provide ramps for easy access and allows our family priority boarding. I appreciate that he is securely fasted on busses and can enjoy using the transportation system throughout the resort.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Have a magical day!
