Hey there, Pamela! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.
Is there anything better than planning a Walt Disney World vacation? Obviously, going on vacation is better, but I think planning the trip runs a close second. There are so many magical combinations of experiences to consider. Your vacation possibilities are almost endless!
My kiddos are big fans of the All-Star Resorts and their larger-than-life decor. Your main transportation option while staying at All-Star Sports will be the
complimentary bus system, which can get you to the theme parks, Disney Springs, and, depending on the time of year, the water parks. There aren’t direct bus routes from the All-Star Resorts to other Walt Disney World Resort hotels, but you can take a bus to a theme park and then transfer to a bus headed to the resort of your choice (transportation schedules and availability are subject to change).
If you need a more direct option, then I’d suggest booking a private
Minnie Van through the Lyft app. This isn’t a complimentary option like the buses, but it is often the quicker option when traveling between resorts.
Sticking to complementary transportation options, the best way to determine your route is to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Along with allowing you to book reservations and manage your tickets, the app can provide step-by-step directions and estimated travel times to most Walt Disney World destinations. Routes and travel times will vary depending on the date and time you're traveling, but it’s the best tool you’ll find for navigating the Vacation Kingdom of the World.
If you are specifically looking to get to the Monorail from your resort, you’ll want to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom. Then it’s just a short walk from the Magic Kingdom bus terminal to the Monorail Station, from which you can go to the Contemporary Resort, Transportation and Ticket Center, Polynesian Village Resort, and Grand Floridian Resort.
I hope this information is helpful, Pamela. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have more vacation planning questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Magical travels!
Matt
