    We'll be staying at the All-Star Music January 21-28. Where is the closest place to get free Wi-Fi?

    Hi, Vanessa! I'm pretty cheap and I don't like paying for internet access either. There is no official free wifi at All Star Music but you're not without options.

    Before I give you the master list of free wifi, let me throw two potential scenarios your way in the event you can make this work for you. Many smartphones (especially the newest Droid models on the Verizon network) now feature the ability to turn your smartphone into a mobile hotspot. In essence, your phone becomes a mobile wireless network. If you don't have a phone that can do this, it doesn't hurt to scan for wireless signals in the area - at All Start Music or anywhere really. If you find a wifi signal, look around for the culprit. If you ask nicely enough, the person might let you bogart his/her signal while they are working from it.

    The second alternative is tethering your phone to serve as a sort of modem (some models do this, some don't.)

    Now for the list of free wifi locations. Go get 'em!

    • Epcot - Lotus Blossom Cafe, stronger signal in the back
    • Hollywood Studios - stand near Sorcerer's Hat on the Brown Derby side
    • Magic Kingdom - stand outside City Hall
    • ESPN Wide World of Sports
    • Boardwalk boat loading area outside of Boardwalk resort
    • Beach Club lobby
    • Contemporary - outside of gift shop area
    • Coronado Springs lobby
    • Grand Floridian lobby
    • Orlando International Airport
    • Downtown Disney - DisneyQuest
    • Downtown Disney - Wolfgang Pucks Express
    • Downtown Disney - Sosa Family Cigar Co. (signal even strong outside)
    • Downtown Disney - outside House of Blues (several)
