Hey there, William! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney - I'm so glad you found us. It looks like you'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort in just a couple of days, so we don't have a moment to lose. Let's get down to business so you have the information you need for your arrival day!
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort is a great home base for your vacation. Our family has stayed there many times over the years, and it's great to enjoy the perks of staying on Disney property at an economical price. The pools and food court are also excellent!
If you are arriving in Orlando early and want to start enjoying the magic before you check in at your hotel, there are all sorts of great options very close to the All-Stars. The
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is quite close to your resort (about 7-8 minutes if traffic isn't bad), and it's always fun to visit! Take a look at the
Events calendar to see what will be happening at the complex during your visit. While there isn't direct Disney transportation to ESPN, there is lots of free parking onsite, and it's also easy and inexpensive to take rideshare when visiting.
Both of the Walt Disney World miniature golf courses are also just around the riverbend from All-Star Movies.
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is about 5 minutes away (at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park), and
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf is about 10 minutes away. While we love them both, Fantasia Gardens is usually our go-to! The theming is really special, and you can choose between a traditional mini-golf course (the Gardens), or a more challenging course (the Fairways), which is nice if you have some more experienced golfers in your group.
William, I am sure you are counting down the hours until your arrival at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I hope you have the most magical vacation, full of core memories, sunshine, and all the Disney snacks you can squeeze in. If our planDisney crew can help with any other questions, please come see us again!
See Ya Real Soon!
