    We're staying at the All-Star Movie resort during our trip to Disney in May. We want a Florida friend to meet us for dinner one night during our stay. Can he meet us at our Resort or at Downtown Disney? He doesn't need a park ticket does he? Thank you

    Hi Jane!

    Your friend can meet you at the All-Star Movie Resort; he just needs to tell the Cast Member at the hotel's parking lot that he's coming to meet you.  You can also meet at Downtown Disney.  As long as you are not going to dinner inside any of the theme parks, he does not need a ticket. 

    By the way, besides eating at Downtown Disney, you could also eat at any of the Table Service restaurants in any of the hotels at Walt Disney World without needing a Magic Your Way ticket.  That includes eating at any of the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts since they are all outside the Magic Kingdom.  All of the hotels at Walt Disney World have a parking lot and guests just visiting for a few hours are allowed to park there.  If you eat at another resort, I think it will be helpful for him to have the confirmation number of the dining reservation if he will be meeting you directly there.
