Hi there! We are staying at AKV Kidani Village this July using our DVC points for the first time. We have a 1-bedroom villa. Just wondering if there is a particular view/ section we should try to request? We welcome any suggestions! Thank you!

    Hello, Rebecca!

    "Welcome Home!"

As soon as you step foot onto Disney's Animal Kingdom-Kidani Village property, you are going to realize that you love your new "home!" Cast Members really make Guests feel comfortable there, and you'll marvel at how the unique architecture, decor and location all feel both exotic and welcoming at the same time. Great choice!

Regarding location of your 1-bedroom villa, you have a couple of options. Of course, if you have enough points to book a savannah view, do so. There's just nothing like waking up in the morning, heading out to your private balcony and seeing anything from zebras, to giraffes or East African Crowned Cranes enjoying a little breakfast right in front of you, too! If you have little legs with you, or mobility issues, ask for a location near the elevators, which may make the walk from the lobby to your villa a little shorter. If you expect to be spending a lot of time at the fantastic Samawati Spring Pool, ask for the sections which are near there, as the pool is not centrally located.

If you haven't yet booked your dining reservations, I highly recommend Sanaa, which is at Kidani Village. On the day we'll spend at Animal Kingdom, we usually plan on spending the afternoon at the pool, then head back to the room to change for dinner and head over to Sanaa. It's so delicious that after our first dinner there (just the two of us), I cancelled our next night's plans so that we go back to try other unique items we didn't get to order the first time...it was that good.

Please send me any additional questions you may have about your DVC Membership, about your resort or your trip to Walt Disney World in general! I'd love to help make your first Disney Vacation Club Membership trip as spectacular as can be!
