We are staying at AKV Kidani in Oct (waitlisted for Contemp Bay Lake). At home we sleep with a box fan on, my husband needs the noise. Any chance we can get a fan while we are there for our room? I know it's not likely but thought I'd ask. Thanks!

    Hi Michelle!

My husband and I ALWAYS sleep with a box fan as well!  My husband got me addicted to the "white noise" and now I am just as spoiled as he is.  When we drive, we just pack it along with our other luggage, however, flying makes that impossible.  Obviously, one choice is to take a cab to Target or Wal Mart and pick one up once you are there.  Although, this may be expensive!

Sooo, we have gotten a little creative....  The bathrooms at WDW all have exhaust fans, which can mimic the sound of a box fan.  Of course, the timer eventually shuts this off.  During our last stay, we found a free App on my phone that offered all sorts of white noise options.  We selected "thunderstorm," turned the volume all the way up and left the phone on the charger.  It was honestly the best sleep we ever got at WDW!

OK, so now I can share with you my most exciting piece of advice - I can't believe that I have never discovered this until now.  One of my favorite websites, A Baby's Best Friend, rents box fans!!!  If you visit abbf.com and look under "equipment" you will find them.  I will be renting one next vacation!!!

    Much pixie dust,
