Hello, Mindy!
You are right about spending time at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village. There really is so much to do here and at her sister, Jambo House, that you could easily spend a day and night just relaxing and joining in all of the fun!
When you check in, you'll receive a list of all of the activities offered each day of your stay, from early in the morning until later at night. Keep in mind that there different activities located at each resort and that transportation between the two is quick and easy. On one of our stays at KV this year, there was Meet a Savanna Guide from 8:30-9 (both JH and KV), Animal Tracking from 10:30-12:30 (JH), Animal Enrichment at 1 (helping animal experts "present interactive objects to the animals on the savannah"-KV), African Face Painting at 2 (The Mara Dining Room-JH), Wildlife Games at 5 (Sunset Lounge-JH), Have You Heard? at 6:15 ("matching wildlife to their vocalizations in a nighttime listening game"-KV), Drum Cafe at 7:45 (KV) and Night Vision Animal Viewing from dusk until 9:30 (JH & KV).
Be absolutely sure that you set aside some time to speak with a Savanna Guide at one of the savannahs, too. For us, this is a favorite, as the Guides are so friendly and knowledgeable, and they love to share information about the animals, the savannah and their hometowns in Africa. Don't miss this one!
Keep in mind that there are ALSO great poolside activities at both resorts, so you'll want to choose these carefully, too. We love playing Disney Trivia (prizes!), Bingo and What's in Your Beach Bag, but Chalk Art, Musical Rings and the Hula Hoop Contest are a blast, too. Take a look at Community Hall over at KV for the Daily SIgnature Craft as well.
Have a wonderful stay! Send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
