    Hi, staying at AKL for 2 weeks august, how long does it take to get to downtown disney to change for other resorts for ADR's or would it be quicker to go to one of the parks first then change to the appropriate buses, thanks.

    Hi Nigel,

    It takes approximately 25 minutes to get from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to Downtown Disney using Disney's complimentary bus service.

    As to whether or not it is quicker to go via a park as opposed to Downtown Disney when visiting other Disney Resorts, the answer really depends on where you will be travelling to and from as well as the times of your dining reservations.

    There is a great transportation wizard tool available at www.ourlaughingplace.com which I like to use.

    It allows you to enter the locations of where you will be travelling to and from within Walt Disney World and then tells you which is the best route to take as well as providing an approximate journey time.

    I would recommend that you use this tool to help you plan your journeys but would be more than happy to help you further if you would like to ask another question detailing specific journeys.
