    I am staying at the AKL and wanted to know what kind of activities they offer for kids 7 and under? I was wondering about things like the drum classes etc. Really want to experience all there is to do there. Is there a place I could look that up?

    Hi Jason,

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly a beautiful resort.  The details and decor are simply amazing.  Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a large variety of activities for young children.  My daughter is seven years old, and on past trips she has participated in viewing animals on the savanna through night vision goggles and listening to the amazing storytellers at the Arusha Rock Fire Pit.  Other activities which have been offered for young children at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge include wildlife and African games, educational programs about flamingos, cookie decorating at Boma - Flavors of Africa restaurant, various craft activities, and as you mentioned, activities regarding African instruments including learning to play African drums.

    While Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers many great recreational activities for young children, these are subject to change.  Therefore, they do not publish a list of the activities ahead of time.  You will receive a list of activities upon check-in at the resort.  You can also try calling the resort directly at 407-938-3000 as you get closer to your arrival.  If you request, they may be able to fax you a copy of the current activities available at the resort for children so you get a better idea of what there is at the time of your trip.
