    We will be staying at the AKL, but is it true that the shuttle to Magic Kingdom takes up to an hour from AK resort?

    Hi:

    The Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite family resort.

    Disney Buses run on average every 20 minutes from all Disney Resorts. We've found that buses from the Animal Kingdom Lodge run even more frequently and have rarely had to wait a full 20 minutes for the bus. Relatively speaking, at about 10 miles, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is situated further away from the Magic Kingdom than many other Resorts, however, taking account waiting and travel time, it has never taken me an hour to get to the Magic Kingdom from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. At most, I budget 45 minutes to wait for and travel on a Disney bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, and I usually arrive ahead of schedule.
