    We will be staying at the AKL in Sept. for our 29th anniversary. Any advice on activities at the lodge?

    Congratulations Liz! What better place to celebrate such a momentous anniversary than the most magical place on earth?

    Waking up to zebras, giraffes, and antelope outside your window is a unique experience you will adore. In the evenings, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has night vision goggles available for guests to use at the Uzima Rock Overlook to catch a view of the African wildlife in the dark. There is also a campfire nightly that creates a relaxing atmosphere for a few minutes of down time.

    Some typically offered special activities at AKL you might want to experience are Wanyama Safari, Dine with Animal Specialists, or a wine tasting. Sample selections of South African wines in Jiko-the Cooking Place or lunch with an animal expert at Sanaa Restaurant. Waynama Safari takes you out on the savanna for an afternoon tour followed by dinner at Jiko. Any of these activities would provide you with a unique, slightly exotic infused anniversary celebration to be remembered.
