We will be staying at AKL. On Sat., our1st day, we plan to go to Epcot and then Chef Mickey's for dinner. We will have our car, but don't mind the bus/monorail. What is the best way to get from AKL-Epcot-Chef Mickey-AKL?

Many guests prefer using their own cars and find it to be more direct; however, we always rely on Disney transportation and are always happy with the results.

To get from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to Epcot. you'll need to take the bus to the park.  Once ready to go, simply exit Epcot and take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center where you can transfer over to the resort monorail and enjoy a ride around the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Contemporary Resort (Chef Mickey's).  Another option is to take the Magic Kingdom monorail for a shorter monorail ride and then walk over to the Contemporary; it is a short walk.  To return to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, I'd simply return to the Magic Kingdom by either walking or riding the monorail where you will then be able to take a bus back to the resort.
