We are staying at AKL and have reservations at Cape May Cafe for breakfast. We do not have park hoper so cannot take the bus to Epcot and then walk. What is the next best way to get to our destination with times, willing to try sky liner, bus, or monorail.

Hello Alicia and welcome to planDisney!

You are absolutely going to love staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!  The views are spectacular and the exotic animals roaming so close make the Animal Kingdom Lodge such an amazing place to spend a vacation!

Now, let’s get you to Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort for your breakfast reservation!

One way is to take the complimentary Disney theme park bus from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  You will then have a few different options from there.

The first would be on foot.  You could take the walking path that connects Hollywood Studios to Disney’s BoardWalk.  This nice scenic walk will take you along the water and past Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and will lead you around Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to the Beach Club and to your destination of Cape May Cafe.  We have used this exact same method many times for our reservations at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.  The walk usually takes our family about 20 minutes, but walking times obviously vary depending on the group that is doing the walking!

The second option would be to take a ride on the Disney Skyliner once you exit your bus at Hollywood Studios.  The Skyliner station is conveniently located just a short walk from the bus drop off point.  You would need to make a Skyliner transfer at the first station to make sure you head toward the EPCOT station for your final destination.  When you reach the EPCOT Skyliner station, you will then have a short walk toward the BoardWalk to the Beach Club and the Cape May Cafe.

A third option might not be available depending on the time of your reservation.  That would be boarding one of the Friendship boats at Hollywood Studios and sailing to the Beach Club for your reservation.  The boat loading dock is past the Skyliner station and toward the Hollywood Studios entry gates off to your right as you are walking to the gates.  The boat will make a stop at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels first and then take you to the Beach Club dock as its second stop.  Again, the boats might not be running at the time of your reservation, so keep that in mind as you make your final plans.

The final recommendation would be to give Minnie a call!  Disney’s Minnie Van Service connected by Lyft will get you to Cape May Cafe with a little bit of pixie dust added in!  This option is not complimentary and does have a fee associated with it, but it does give you the flexibility to set up your own time for leaving!

Alicia, I hope your breakfast at Cape May Cafe is amazing and I hope you leave a little room to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
