Staying at AKL KV, is it worth it to rent a car? I've heard that even if we rent a car, we'll get to the parking lots sooner, but then we'll still end up waiting on transport from there, so it's just as long, or not much shorter. Coming in September!

In my opinion, renting a car is definitely worth it, Mindy.  My family almost always rents a car during our trips and we, too, like to get an early start at the theme parks.  Of all the times we've visited--and arrived prior to park opening--we've never had to wait extensively on a tram; in my experience they are up and running as soon as guests are permitted to enter the parking lot.  Even if you did find yourself in that situation, though, your early arrival would equate to a parking space that would probably be close enough to enable you to walk to the park entrance and skip the tram altogether.  My vote would be to go for the rental car.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
