We are staying at AKL and I know that if our flight arrives after 10 p.m. then we collect our own luggage, but our 11/15 flight arrives at 9:10 p.m. May we pick up our luggage and take it with us instead of waiting 3 hours for it to arrive? 186 days left!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeanie!

You are more than welcome to retrieve your own bags at anytime. Guests are not required to utilize the baggage pickup and delivery service. I do recommend when you receive your bright yellow baggage tag stickers to not put them on your bags. When baggage claim agents see those tags, they know to pull the bag and place it with other luggage headed to Walt Disney World®. And you wouldn't want an agent to see your bags before you do - so just leave those off your luggage. With a 9pm flight, I don't blame you for just wanting to go head and grab it yourself!

I hope this helps, Jeanie! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you continue planning your magical vacation. Oh, and happy almost Advanced Dining Reservation Day :)
