    Hi! Staying AKL in June with DH. This will be my 6th time to WDW & his 1st, but my 1st staying on site! Apart from the tips on wdw.com, are there any insider tips to make the most of AKL? Also what's the deal with the $150 gift card given with the book

    The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fabulous resort.  It is my youngest son, age 7, favorite resort at Walt Disney World.  He loves the idea of having exotic animals right outside the hotel!

    For more information on Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I recommend visiting the independent website aklresort.com.  It's an independent fan site full of information on the resort and how to make the most of your stay!  Definitely check it out!

    I'm not sure what you are asking about with the Disney Gift Card as your question got cut off, but you can use a Disney Gift Card all over Walt Disney World.  It can be used at most merchandise and dining locations throughout the theme parks and the resorts.
