Jambo, Shida!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney today. Welcome. I’m so happy and very excited that you are visiting Walt Disney World this spooky season. Will you also be heading over to
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? If so, make sure to save room for all of the treats you will be bringing back home with you.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is such a beautiful and fun resort to stay at. I love the decorations, the Cast Members, and the main lobby. I sat there with my computer and a snack in hand and just soaked it all in. If you have the chance to sit there for a minute, I encourage you to do so. The sights, smells, all of it is so relaxing. When it comes to room selections, if you are looking for a view, I encourage you to modify your reservation to a
Savanna view room.
You never know which live animals you’ll see, but I’ve been fortunate enough to see a giraffe from my room’s balcony window, and that alone is a core memory. Since the animals roam throughout the day, there is no set room number that is best. In my opinion, any view is a great one! There are three different savannas at Jambo House that your room can overlook. There’s the Uzima, Arusha, and the Sunset Savanna. I prefer staying along the Kudu and Zebra trails as these are nearer to the lobby, which is a family preference.
Shida, I encourage you to make room requests using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. After signing in to your account, click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. Select “Future Plans” to access your reservation. Just below your reservation details, you’ll see the “Check-In” button. Click on that to find the section that allows you to make room requests. I recommend prioritizing what’s most important to you and your stay when reading through the request options. Of course, you can always give the resort
a call before you arrive to add any additional requests.
I’m wishing on every star that your room requests are met! Have the most magical visit, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Magical Memories,
Shantel
