Staying At AKL jan 3-10th didnt book a dining plan because it seemed so expensive I thought we would eat cheaper just at the parks now am looking at the menus and prices and am wondering if i should have taken one 2 adults 1 preteen any advice $ wise?

Hi Angela - for families who are planning to eat all or most of their meals at the Walt Disney World Resort, I think the dining plans offer good value.  There are three dining plans to choose from - the quick service plan, the standard dining plan, and the deluxe plan.

If you think you'll eat an average of one table service meal per day, then the standard dining plan, with one snack credit, one quick service credit, and one table service credit per person per day, is probably your best option.  That's the dining plan that my family always gets when we vacation at Walt Disney World, and it's a good value for us.

    Have a great vacation!
