Staying at AKL, Jambo, DVC villas, savanah view studio. Would like to minimize walking from lobby to room, but would like good view of animals. Is there a particular wing/area I should request upon check in? Thank you.

    Hi Christine!

I think all of the rooms at both parts of Animal Kingdom Lodge have excellent views.  However, some of the rooms can be a far walk from the lobby area.  I recommend putting in a request that you want to be located near the lobby and on floors 3 or 4.  I think rooms on those floor provide you with the best view of the animals; a lower room will make it hard to see the whole savannah and higher rooms make the animals seem to far away in my opinion.  By specifying that instead of a specific wing or room number, the Disney Cast Member assigning you a room will have the most flexibility in getting you a location that you actually want (close to the lobby).

I hope this helps and good luck with your room request!
