    Staying at AKL & geting car. Whats fastest WDW transportation or drive to parks & characters din? While there ? Arriving at Sanford, have 3 hrs to get to Crystal Palace best way there ? Also best beach to find shells? one day only to do (6-8hrs)

    Hi Kelly!
    It is way faster to drive your own car to both the parks and character dining.  Although Disney transportation is free to resort guests, so is theme park parking.  The benefit of Disney transportation is not having to rent a car, but since you are going to have a car, I would go ahead and drive everywhere.  This will save you a ton of time over the course of your stay.  This is especially true since you're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is the most remote resort on property.
    As for arriving from Sanford Airport, I would simply double check at the car rental counter to find the most direct route to the Magic Kingdom which is where the Crystal Palace is located. 3 hours should be more than enough time to arrive.
