We are staying at AKL in February. However, we would like to visit the Fort Wilderness bar during our stay (our favorite!). Since we will be AKL resort guests, can we drive over to Fort Wilderness and park there, or must we use Disney transportation?

Howdy partner! Welcome back to planDisney Deborah. Sometimes you just need to relax and pulling up a stool at the Crockett's Tavern is the perfect spot to rest tired feet and share some stories with the barkeep.

Guests are allowed to park in the parking lot of the main entrance of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds just past the Reception Outpost and catch the internal bus at the Outpost Depot. Guests are unable to drive to Crockett's Tavern. Let the guard know you are headed to Crockett's Taven for a few hours and they will let you mosey right in. If you will be at Magic Kingdom Park that day you could take a water launch directly to the dock and walk to the tavern. The internal bus will take about 15 minutes to arrive at your destination.

While you are there I suggest you head over to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. It has been fully renovated. You can see the horses and hear the classic Dragon Calliope in the barn. I love it!
