I am staying at AKL as a DVC member in Jambo house in a 2 bedroom villa. What is the best savannah view for my children to wake up to, that I can request. As a brand new BLT owner I gave up my home for them to see animals, so I want to make it memorable

Hi Gina! We are DVC owners and we stayed in an Animal Kingdom Lodge Savanna View 2 bd Villa a few years ago. One of my daughters is a huge giraffe fan, so it was important to me that she be able to wake up and see them off the balcony. We requested the "Zebra Trail". We had both giraffe and zebra outside, as well as several other animals. It was very memorable!

I would request either the Zebra Trail or the Sunset Savanna (which has Ostrich and Reticulated Giraffe). The Uzima Savanna has Greater Kudu, which are also pretty cool animals.

I recommend that you call the Animal Kingdom Lodge 9 days prior to arrival. Ask to speak with the room assigner and tell them your preference. You can reach them at: 407-938-3000. While room requests are never guaranteed, Disney always does their best to accommodate them.

If you have a Savanna View room reserved, you WILL have animals outside of your balcony during your stay. The only variable is which animals it will be. Keep in mind that you can always see many animals outside at the Savanna Overlook. Don't forget to bring your binoculars!

Also, if you haven't made dinner reservations at Boma inside the AKL yet...be sure to do so! It is one of our "must do" meals!

    Enjoy your Magical vacation!
