We are staying at AKL 4 days 3/9-3/13; offsite 3/13-3/18. We have 5 day tickets. Using 3 tickets between 3/10-3/13 and 2 between 3/14-3/17. Can we book all 5 tickets at the 60 day FP opening day. 3/17 is daughters b-day and she wants to go to MK.

    Hi Christina,

You are going to LOVE Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! It's one of my very favorite places to stay on our Disney vacations. Between the captivating artwork, authentic decor and music, incredible wildlife, and interesting cultural activities, you're going to feel immersed in an AMAZING African setting. Definitely ask for a recreation calendar when you arrive, and I'd encourage you to participate in as many special activities as you can!

While you'll be able to take advantage of the 60-day FastPass+ planning window for all of the days that you'll be at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, including the day of your check-in and check-out, you'll need to wait until 30 days beforehand for the remaining days. For the most flexibility and availability, I'd recommend booking some of the hard to find FastPass+ attractions like Avatar Flight of Passage, Slinky Dog Dash, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and I'm SURE the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions (once FastPass+ is available for them) towards the end of your Disney Resort hotel stay. Since you'll be able to make all of those plans 60 days before your check-in, you'll actually be able to make some of your selections 64 days in advance!

I'm also excited to hear that your princess will be celebrating her birthday during your visit. Please tell her that all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel wish her a very happy birthday! I don't think there's anywhere more special to celebrate a birthday than at "The Most Magical Place on Earth," and this will definitely be one birthday she'll remember forever! I'd encourage you to pick up a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button at a theme park ticket window, the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel, or a Guest Relations location. Cast Members (and even some Guests!) will love celebrating with her, and you never know...maybe she'll even receive a bit of extra pixie dust!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your great question, Christina, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next spring!
