Staying at AKL 10/24-10/29. Want to call and request room that has a great view and is close to the bus stop. We have a Savanah room with bunk beds. What would be best request? Thanks!

Hi Marnie! I just returned from a visit and stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I had requested a room similar to your thoughts as I wanted to be close to the buses and main lobby area.  I was given a room about half way down one of the buildings and it was still a hike!

I stayed on Zebra Trail as this was always a great spot to see the animals on the savannah. I am sorry to say though that there were very few animals to be seen and the best time to see them is late afternoon when most guests are in the parks or dining elsewhere.  I am not sure that any particular building is any better then the rest since more savannahs have opened up and animals have more places to roam.  I would suggest you request a room close to the lobby and buses and not on the ground floor or the top floor....viewing the animals are harder from these floors.
