    Hi, we are staying at AKL in August. My question is, do you know what the depth of water the small kiddie slide at Kidani pool exits into. Thanks so much! Beckah

    Hi there, Rebecca!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Can you believe your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is NEXT month?!?!  No matter whether you’ve been planning this vacation for a long time or you’ve only recently planned it, it’s always SO exciting when it gets this close!

    You are going to love staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge next month and I am assuming you have littles that will be with you and boy, oh boy will they love it there!  With exotic animals roaming the savannas, your Mouseketeers will be amazed!  I know my boys always are!  And, like all the other Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools, you will love spending time at the Samawati Springs Pool!  I can’t think of a better place to cool off after a long hot day at the theme parks – or maybe you will opt for a break from the theme parks and have a full pool day in between theme park visits!  My boys have recently learned to love waterslides, so I look forward to our next visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge because I know they will be going up and down them…. over and over again!  From my resEARch, I have found that the pool is four feet, eleven inches at its deepest point, but it appEARs that the entry point at the bottom of the slide is right at 3 feet.  Please note that life vests are available for Guest use at all Walt Disney World Resort pools or you can bring your own life vest or puddle jumper, if preferred.  Additionally, you will find complimentary towels available for Guest use at the pools, too!  But, definitely don’t forget your sunscreen!

    Wishing you the most magical adventures at Walt Disney World Resort and if you haven’t yet, make plans to dine at Sanaa for incredible views of the amazing wildlife!
