    We are staying at AK but will be taking a few day trips to DC and SW. Is there any public transportation that we could use to get there or are we stuck using expensive taxis? We thought about staying offsite but love AK too much! Thanks!

    There is public transportation available in the Orlando area.  Check out the golynx.com website to explore your options.

    Personally, I have found that a private car service through Mears transportation is a more cost effective option than a taxi when traveling about the Orlando area.  It is typically much cheaper than a taxi and less of a hassle than public transportation.  You can explore this option further through the Mears website at mearstransportation.com.
