    Staying in the AK Kid Vil ~ will the pools be open in January when we'll be staying there or is the weather too cold generally? Thanks!

    Hi Jackie, All of the pools at the WDW Resorts are heated and open all year round. I have vacationed during the months of December, January and February a few times and sometimes I have experienced nice and mild temperatures and others (like last December) it was so freezing cold that there was no way of even thinking about going outside without wearing warm clothes (jackets, sweaters, etc...), so even thinking about swimming was unbearable. You can go swimming whenever you feel comfortable (weather wise) and from my past experiences vacationing during Winter months at WDW, it is quite possible to have nice enough weather for swimming and beyond that it depends on how daring you feel!
