Staying at AAR.Need to pick up rental on arrival day but we have ADR for MBYBBQ @ 6:30.Wanting to take a ferry from MK.Should we pick up rental from CCC right before we catch the ferry? Can we easily park @ MK and what time should we leave the resort?

Kyle, you have a wonderful first night planned.

Consider picking up your rental car at the Car Care Center and then driving to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Perhaps after Mickey's Back Yard BBQ you could ride the ferry to the Magic Kingdom and back when you are not rushed for time. If you drive you will need to park your car and take an internal Fort Wilderness bus to the BBQ.

If you decide to take the ferry from Magic Kingdom allow plenty of time. After picking up your rental car you will have to drive through the parking booth, park in one of the world's biggest parking lots, ride the tram to the Ticket and Transportation Center, and board a monorail or ferry to the Magic Kingdom. After disembarking you need to walk over to the resort ferry which will take you to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort after first stopping at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Also allow time to walk from the campground landing to the pavilion where the dinner is held.

Another option would be to take the bus from your hotel to the Magic Kingdom. The bus drops you off near the park entrance quite close to where the ferry departs for Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

Enjoy dancing with Mickey and Minnie!
